It's February and the Weather Stinks

Hello again everyone! I don't know about you, but I am tired of all the snow, rain and ice we have been getting...maybe because we are actually having a normal winter and I am not used to it. I am already wishing for spring and sunshine.

The birds finally found our latest feeder. It is the feeder built by Michael's Grandfather, Lloyd Speilman. We recently repainted it and put it outside. Here is a picture of a few birds enjoying the dinner I set out for them.

Mercedes LOVES to pick up Lindbergh and carry him as far and as long as her little arms let her. Lindbergh is very tolerant of her and does not fight her. I wonder if that would change when she discovers she can toss him down the old laundry chute.......

Here are a couple of cute pictures of the girls together. I love watching them bond as sisters and friends.

I have found another thing the girls have in common...They both LOVE pickles! Here is a picture of Shaylee with her first pickle spear....she is thoroughly enjoying it!

Here is one more of Shaylee sticking out her tongue...she was copying mom...

This past Friday - February 15th, Michael and I and a friend of ours had the opportunity to attend a rally for Barack Obama in Oshkosh at the University. It was an awesome event and it was really cool to be a part of and witness history in the making. Here are a few pictures....

I hope this posting has found everyone in good spirits and good health. Personally, I am praying for spring to come really fast. Take care everyone!
