Well, the hectic holidays are finally over! Michael and I and the girls have traveled the world over and are finally resting at home. Although, as usual, we didn't come out the end without some sickness. Mercedes had a left ear infection and Shaylee had a double ear infection. Hers started the weekend before Christmas and I tag-teamed with Dad because Shaylee was up ALL night. (Thanks for helping me Dad!) As soon as we would lay her down, she would cough and wake herself up. All this was before we knew about the ear infections. Next year, if there are any signs of sickness, we are staying home. Following are some pictures of the families.
This next picture is funny. This was taken at the Trojan Christmas party. It is my paternal grandmother with most of her great grandkids. I say most because some didn't want to be there and Shaylee was taking a much needed nap in her stroller.
This next picture is of Mercedes and Johne, if you didn't know they were cousins, you would think they were best friends for life! They love to play together and have a ton of fun! We plan to visit Johne and his family this coming weekend in the Cities. I am sure both Johne and Mercedes are besides themselves about the upcoming visit!
Always the curious George!
Shaylee learned to "army" crawl on Christmas Day at Grandma and Grampa Jim's house. We noticed she was on the verge, so we got the video camera out. Here she is! She even cheats!
Shaylee finally took it upon herself to hold her own bottle and now we have proof! It sure makes it easier on Mom and Dad when we are getting meals ready.
Here Mercedes has a new painting shirt to wear. Daddy took an old work shirt and painted epaulettes on it and I painted wings and "Capt. Mercedes" above the pocket. She loves it, of course! She wants to be a pilot just like Daddy. I wouldn't put it past her!
I took a picture before I put her in her much more comfy crib.
Well, that is all I have for now. I think I have exhausted myself with the blog today. Please remember you can leave comments on this site if you wish. I would love to see them!
