Shaylee's 18 month pictures
Okay, here goes. These are Shaylee's 18m pictures. My camera lens was in the shop, so I had my friend Korby shoot the session for me. I think he did a good job considering that Shaylee was not very cooperative - so much different than her sister! She was very difficult to get to sit still for these, so this is all I have. I will try for a picture with her sister for Christmas when we get a tree. Just tell me the number and the size and I will order for you.

A long awaited update...
I know it has been awhile since I updated the blog, and I apologize. Here are some pictures from pumpkin hunting and halloween.
Mercedes taking a rest on a pumpkin.

Mercedes and Shaylee helping carve pumpkins. Shaylee insisted on a taste test...Yuck!
This was just after trick or treating at the Outlet Mall in Oshkosh.
Here the girls pose with their friend Peter.
Shaylee was a dinosaur this year. (It was Mercedes' costume when she was 14 months)
This is a view from the front....
Here Shaylee is loving the kitty, right before she wrapped her arm
around his neck and he cried: "Help me!"
I hope everyone had a good Halloween and is enjoying the unusual November weather. We have had a few 70 degree days, and this weekend is supposed to be really cold. I am not sure I am ready for winter yet. But it will come anyway! Have a good November and I will be back soon to post again. -Cori

Dear Family,
Instead of paying Sears gobs of money for pictures, I finally took it upon myself to take Shaylee's 1 year photos myself. I am posting the pictures here. Please email or call me and let me know what ones you would like in what size. Once I know what everyone wants, I will put the order into the photo lab (same place our wedding photos where done, so they will be nice) and them mail them off to everyone. The photos will have a nice luster finish on them to protects from spills and finger prints. Thank you!
Number 4. We took this one and the ones that follow at the Paine Art Center Gardens.
Someone off camera that was passing by made her smile for me.
Number 8. This is the same as above picture, but with a soft focus effect.
Number 9. This is a really nice one of Mercedes.
Number 10. Another really nice candid of Mercedes.
I hope everyone likes them! I think they look more natural than a forced pose at Sears, but that is just my opinion. Thanks for being patient! - Cori

I know...it's been awhile...
So a lot has happened since I last blogged - Shaylee's 1st Birthday, a children's museum visit with Uncle Bill and a visit from a very famous person to Oshkosh, WI.
Shaylee turned one on April 20th, but due to Michael's schedule (ie, he almost never gets weekends off) we had it on the 29th. Here are a few pictures...

This is the small cake I made specifically for Shaylee. Yes, I decorated it myself. I didn't have time to make a big cake myself, so I ordered one that everyone else took part of.

Here we are all singing to Shaylee and she isn't too sure about what's going on...she looked like she was going to cry for a bit...but she didn't. She mostly wanted to touch the flame on the candle. Mom was holding it just out of reach.

I thought I would show Michael how much I appreciate his handiness with things around the house by helping replace the kitchen faucet with his instruction. He sought out to thank me by having Mercedes take pictures of the event. Thanks, I think....
As usual, I hope this post finds everyone in good health. Thanks for checking out our blog!

Here she is checking out the cake. She is probably thinking:
"What the heck are they making me eat now????"
"What the heck are they making me eat now????"
She likes it! She likes it!
Shaylee LOVES balloons! (What kid doesn't?)
Did I mention she LOVES balloons?

Daddy is helping Shaylee open her presents...so was everyone else that was a kid and wanted to help. Shaylee mostly liked playing with the paper and the bows....it figures!
The girls and I traveled up to Bill's house for a weekend visit in April. We had a really nice time and the girls LOVE their Unkie Billy and drop whatever they are doing when he enters the room! I swear he has a spell on them! While we were up there, we visited The Northwoods Children's Museum. It was a really cute place with lots to do for the kids.
Here are a bunch of pictures from the event.
Here is Uncle Bill showing Mercedes how to work the lights on the half of an
ambulance they had set up. Of course she loved it!
Here is Mercedes brushing some giant teeth at the dentist display.
Mercedes is playing checkout clerk in the grocery store and Shaylee is trying to join her.
Mercedes loved their dress up room!
Sisters sliding together!
Grampa and Shaylee loved the piano that played itself...she couldn't stop staring at it!
Shaylee and Grampa cooking in the play kitchen.

There was a really cool spot where you could make these giant bubbles around yourself. Uncle Bill helped make these for the girls.
Bill took this picture of Mom and I, you don't see any resemblance do you?
Recently, Johnny Depp and the whole cast and crew for Public Enemies set up camp in Oshkosh. They built sets downtown that were really cool. It was like going back in time. Also, at Basler Flight Service in Oshkosh, they filmed EAA's 1929 Ford Trimotor in the 1920's style landing and taxi with flare. We were pretty far away for pictures, but the guy with the white sleeves is Johnny Depp. It was really neat to have a touch of Hollywood in Oshkosh, WI.
Here are a few pictures we managed to click off....

Here are some other pictures of recent goings on in the Stromberg household. Enjoy!

Here Mercedes is driving Shaylee around the yard in her little Jeep. Michael put a seat belt in it for Shaylee so she wouldn't fall off. It was very cute...I wonder if it is a sign of things to come..."Mom, can we borrow the car to go to the mall?"
